Week 4 - 29 April 2020

 

Namche Bazaar to Tengboche: 9.2km, 4 hours, 720 floors

It's week 4 and we are completely inebriated from the two nights of merry making in Namche Bazaar.  Laughter fills our lungs together with cold Himalayan air as we stumble towards Tengboche.  The rise in elevation from 3400m to 3800m is child's play, having gone through the rigours of being acclimatised.  Little do we know how much we will suffer in Week 5 as we push even higher to Dingboche.

 

The Tengboche Monastery awaits us at the end of Stage 4 where we will spin the prayer wheels, wishing for journey mercies upon all travellers.  We also wish for the best cheesecake in the Himalayas - in a German Bakery in Tengboche! Yum!
